Ex MAFS Producer Says If Morena Really Did Cop A ‘Bad Edit’, There’s A Reason Why

A former Married At First Sight (MAFS) post-producer has weighed in on Morena Farina‘s edit following whispers behind why her storyline with MAFS husband, Tony Mojanovski, has been so chaotic.

When a new MAFS season kicks off, the castmates are always quick to blame the edit, and this year has been no different. Heck, even before the season premiered, some of this year’s cast were already pissed off with the trailer.

However, one of the first people to officially call out the edit was controversial bride Morena Farina, who slammed the show via a series of scathing Instagram Stories and interviews.

In one of these red-hot interviews, Morena questioned MAFS producers, asking, “Why are you hiding my story?”

In the same interview, Morena dished that she had quite the storyline, with Tony revealing he was still married to his ex-wife during their honeymoon.

In texts shared by former MAFS groom Harrison Boon, Morena doubled down on this storyline, stating that Tony “loves his wife”.

“I do not care that he’s still legally married. That’s not the issue,” Morena wrote in the text, per Yahoo! Lifestyle.

“The issue is he loves his wife. He wants his wife and he really thought he could come on the show and get his wife in the show. It would make good TV.”

With this off-screen tea, many folks are quite sceptical of the way Morena is being portrayed on the show. However, according to former MAFS post-producer Alexandria Funnell, Morena was getting this edit for a good reason.

“It’s not because she’s been taken out of context or ‘cos Tony is secretly married. It’s because she’s like this,” Funnell dished in her TikTok which now has more than 982.5K viewers.

“She can come out swinging, she can come out arguing all she wants. I can promise you this will be an accurate reflection of what she’s like as a person.

“I just don’t think that she thinks she is intense. I think she thinks it’s fine which is why she’ll be like ‘I don’t get the hate’.”

Despite what castmates say about “the edit”, MAFS executive producers Alexandra Spurway and Josh Walsh have denied the existence of a “villain edit”.

“There is no villain edit,” Walsh told PEDESTRIAN.TV.

“The villains reveal themselves. We don’t create them. They make their choices.”

In the case that Tony’s confession was real, I wish producers kept it in the final edit because I think it would give us a bit of context as to why Morena could be so hurt and upset.

Oh well, maybe in another life we can finally have MAFS uncut or MAFS 24/7 live stream.

Married At First Sight returns Sunday on Channel Nine and 9Now.
