Iceland has become the latest supermarket chain to pull a chicken product from sale over fears it could be contaminated with salmonella. It comes after the Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued recall notices for dozens of other chicken products sold in Aldi, Dunnes Stores, Lidl and Tesco.

The Food Standards Agency's aim is to ensure that food people buy is safe and includes what it says on the label - so when issues occur, they deliver allergy and safety alerts.

Lidl is asking anyone who has bought the product not to eat it but to return to any store for a full refund
