Major U.S.-listed Chinese tech and electric-vehicle stocks rose in Hong Kong on Thursday, with Alibaba and Nio adding over 1%, tracking an upbeat overnight finish on Wall Street.

NIO reports that its overall electric vehicle delivers in August increased by 82% year-over-year to 10,677, which is also a slight improvement over July.

Market volatility is widespread ahead of the Fed’s September rate hike. Moreover, experts are wary of the near-term market uncertainties.
