London (AFP) - A chest freezer forming part of a work by British street artist Banksy was returned on Wednesday a day its removal by the local council for "health and safety" reasons.

Thanet District Council confirmed it has removed the chest freezer incorporated into the wall painting ‘on the grounds of safety’.

The street artist claimed the artwork by sharing a series of photos of the piece on their Instagram account on Tuesday.

The new artwork is believed to be a statement against domestic violence
