The cold open of the latest Saturday Night Live was all about football ending after Sunday’s conference title games … yes, even with the Super Bowl coming.
It features the cast playing many of CBS’s NFL crew shedding tears, wondering what men will do on Sundays. There’s even a faux Andy Reid cameo as the Kansas City Chiefs head coach, who laments that games are the only time he gets to hang out with Taylor Swift, a Pro Bowl joke and a sendup of CBS’s So Help Me Todd. And there are tears before a song breaks out.
