Aston Martin Lagonda is negotiating with bankers to address a looming debt pile, according to Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll, with the company’s near-term liabilities amounting to roughly £1.1 billion.

Following its purchase by a Lawrence Stroll-led consortium in 2018, Aston Martin has been more comfortable financially – allowing the team to leave the factory it outgrew and move into a new, purpose-built Silverstone-based campus.

While exact figures have not been disclosed, Aston Martin has reported on the eve of the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix that Arctos Partners has acquired a “minority shareholding in AMR Holdings GP Limited, the team’s holding company”. The deal is expected to close by the end of 2023.
