Earlier this year, motorsport’s governing body invited potential new teams to express their interest in joining the F1 grid from as early as 2025.

There has been increased scrutiny in recent weeks on the FIA’s structures and regulations that F1 operates under.

A decision is expected soon on whether or not an extra team will be invited to join the grid in the future, with the Andretti/Cadillac project being the highest profile of those who have applied.
