Stellantis is furthering its partnership with solid-state battery company Factorial to test its promising new cells in 2026.

The company claims it’s the first lithium-metal solid-state battery maker to receive the globally recognized certification that covers cells with a capacity of over 100 Ah.

Factorial, a start-up that develops the next generation of solid-state batteries, showed a prototype of its new 100 Amp-hour (Ah) cells at the 2023 Consumers Electronics Show (CES).
