Search for 'vulnerable' Scottish woman, 61, missing for more than 24 hours

POLICE are searching for a “vulnerable” Scottish woman who has been missing for more than 24 hours.

Audrey Hamilton, who is 61, has not been seen since around 10am on Monday, August 5, officers said.

Hamilton was last spotted in the Riddrie Knowes area of Glasgow.

Police said the 61-year-old has short grey hair, a slim build and is around 5ft 4ins tall. When last seen, she was said to be wearing a black jacket and black leggings.

Hamilton is known to frequent the areas around Alexandria Parade in the east end of Glasgow, as well as Byres Road, Kelvin Grove Park, and the Partick areas to the west.

Inspector Hreinn Agustsson said: “Audrey is a vulnerable lady and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare. It's important that we trace her as soon as possible.

“We would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen Audrey to please let us know.”

Anyone who has any information regarding Audrey's whereabouts can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3406 of August 5.
