Martin Lewis explains how to get free food at Greggs, Burger King and Pizza Express

Martin Lewis has explained how to get free food from restaurants and high street chains like Greggs and Burger King.

For example, you can get a free sausage roll just by signing up to the Greggs loyalty app.

Or if you’re a Pizza Express fan, there is a two-for-one dine in deal running until this Sunday if you download its app.

Finally, Waitrose has just brought back its loyalty scheme where you get a free coffee with any purchase - but you'll need to bring a reusable cup.

The MoneySavingExpert founder flagged the latest deals during his Martin Lewis Money Show Live show on ITV.

Here is everything you need to know.

Greggs - free sausage roll/bake and hot drink

You can get a free Greggs bake or sausage roll if you sign up to its app by January 2.

This includes its famous steak bake, cheese and onion bake, vegan sausage roll and more - normally costing about £1 to £2 each.

Once you have signed up, you'll have 31 days to grab your freebie - so don't forget to do this.

Greggs also offers free hot drinks for new app members, worth between £1.50 to £2.

Pizza Express - two-for-one

If you download the Pizza Express app before Sunday, you can get two-for-one on dine in pizzas.

Just check in to the restaurant and click "offer" on the app to get two Classic pizzas for the price of one.

Leggera, Romana, Calabrese and Calzone pizzas, and Pasta and Salad dishes are sadly not included.

Burger King - free cheeseburger or fries

Burger King customers can get 200 points free through the BK loyalty scheme, via its app.

This is enough for a free cheeseburger or fries, or a hamburger or drink.

You can only use the points at 279 of the restaurant's 500-plus locations.

Waitrose - free coffee or tea

Waitrose is bringing back its popular free hot drink scheme from November 7 for members of its loyalty scheme.

To get the freebie, you need to buy anything in store.

You'll also need to bring a reusable cup, or you'll have to buy one in store for £4.
