Kate Ferdinand thanks fans for their support as she reveals she lacked 'confidence'

Kate Ferdinand has issued a touching message to fans after she revealed she had previously lacked the confidence to run her own podcast. The mum and TV presenter currently hosts the "Blended" podcasts but has admitted, in the past she didn't think she could do it.

Blended tells real stories of relationships that don't often get talked about. The discussions centre around a number of different topics such as second marriages, adoption and life after loss.

Kate is married to ex-footballer Rio Ferdinand and the have a two-year-old son together, called Cree. She is also pregnant with the couple's second child and is step mum to Rio's three kids, Lorenz, Tate and Tia.

She is currently 37 weeks pregnant and admitted that she has been on "unofficial" maternity leave because she has been hit "so hard" by tiredness. In a message to fans of Blended, she thanked them for their support and announced she would be taking a break from the show to focus on the baby.

In a message to fans on Instagram, Kate said: "Today is my last mini-episode before my maternity leave. Just a little update of where I’m at in preparation for baby girl's arrival and a look back at the series. Wow, it’s been a long series and I’ve met so many amazing people along the way.

"For a really long time, I wanted to start this but just didn’t have the confidence, It’s only sometimes when you take a minute to reflect you can see how far you have come.

"Thank you for all of your continued support, it really does mean the world to me! Now time to rest and reset for baby."

Fans of the show were quick to thank Kate for her hard work and offered their support. Ryannile_ said: "I'm equally proud and excited for you Kate, it’s been such a great year where you’ve continued to grow in so many ways and you never fail to amaze me! Will miss ya. Enjoy your maternity leave and can't wait to meet baby girl."

T4ny4_louise said: "Well done Kate the void that has been missing for many you filled it with help guidance and joy." While Bernferd added: "Wonderful. That is awesome. Keep being an inspiration!!
