With price hikes impacting mobile and broadband customers, some may be considering ditching their premium TV services to save some cash.
And while many are moving over to streaming services for their evening entertainment, some may still be keen to make use of their satellite dish for channels like Sky and the BBC.
There is a way to do that, and while it has somewhat of a hefty up-front cost it could work out cheaper over time, reports the Mirror.
Picking up a set-top box to get access to the Freesat service could give a viewer access to 170 channels, however it isn't cheap upfront.
But after paying for the box, the only fee you'll have to pay is your annual TV licence to access the BBC and live broadcasting. The only thing you won't be able to watch with a Freesat service are premium services such as Sky Sports, Sky Cinema or BT Sport.
A 500GB device would typically put you back £229.99 - but until April 21 - £30 can be knocked off of this eye-watering sum. You can find the discount on Freesat's website and deals with retailers including Currys who are also running promotions.
However, not to be outdone, BT and Sky are also both running promotions right now. BT is dishing out Sky channels and Netflix for just £1 with this incredible deal lasting for the first 6 months of the 24-month contract.
Sky has also launched a deal that includes its Stream box plus broadband and TV channels for the lowest-ever price. That means you'll pay just £38 per month instead of the usual £44 - and won't need a TV dish.
