Today the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued fresh advice as hospitals battle soaring rates of Covid, flu and Strep A, amid warnings hundreds are dying unnecessarily every day due to overcrowding and lack of resources

The advice includes simple steps that can minimise the spread of illness in education and childcare settings as well as the wider community.

It is linked to more than 1,100 lung cancer deaths in the UK each year, according to the UK Health Security Agency

The latest figures show that at least 25 children in England have now died from invasive Strep A

The UK Health Security Agency said infections remain rare and the majority of cases continue to be in the over-45s.
