Search and rescue teams continue to search for the OceanGate Expeditions vessel, which has five people on board. The submersible, called Titan, was supposed to reach the bottom of the sea to view the Titanic shipwreck on Sunday, but it lost contact after being submerged.

Based on the timeline given by US Coast Guard officials, rescue teams had until 8am ET (1pm UK time) on Thursday to reach the Titan before the chances of survival greatly diminished
