Bihar’s caste-based survey is being conducted at a cost of ₹500 crore, approved by the Cabinet of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

A day after the Patna High Court held the caste survey in Bihar as “valid” and “legal”, the State government suspended all ongoing training programmes for teachers so that they can be engaged for early completion of the exercise.

The Apex Court has asked Bihar Government to argue the matter before Patna High Court, which is scheduled to hear the plea on July 3. Read further on Dynamite News:

On May 4, the Patna High Court had issued an interim stay order on the ongoing caste-based survey. Following the stay order, the State Government filed a petition seeking early hearing of the case.
