The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has directed The Caravan magazine to take down one of its stories within 24 hours. The take-down order was issued under section 69A of the Information Technology Act.

Draft Broadcasting Services (Regulation) Bill, 2023 proposes self-classification of programmes by broadcasters with relevant rating based on content descriptors. Access control measures for restricted viewing and accessibility guidelines for persons with disabilities are also provided. Designation of disability grievance redressal officer and penalty for violation of guidelines are proposed.
