Summer storms will bring downpours to parts of the Northeast, Central, East and South over the next few days, the Meteorological Department warned on Monday.

The Meteorological Department has announced the start of summer, with temperatures expected to peak at a blistering 45°C over the next few months in some areas.

The Meteorological Department expects summer will start late this month and forecasts extreme heat in March and April, with temperatures of 43-45°C in some provinces.
