Quartet join directors at business support body

They're empowered, angry and tired, but Newcastle women won't stop until people in positions of power hear their voices - there is no room for sexual violence on the city's streets.

Sarah Williams, a wheelchair user has not been able to enter or leave her flat after a new mechanism was installed on her door. She says the situation has left her feeling extremely anxious.

"Survivors should be at the forefront of all change and have a seat at the table because it is their lived experience that everyone is discussing."

Chants of "keep your laws off my body" rang out in Honeysuckle as the rally kicked off from Newcastle Museum around 6pm.

"It goes beyond survivors. What a woman does with her body should be her choice."
