WASHINGTON — Their loyalties to Ukraine are diverse and run deep. They’re not unified on every issue stemming from the war but are operating in lockstep agreement that the Biden administration can and should do more to help the young democracy defend itself against Russian aggression.

Theresa Gavarone—on May 3 to win the Republican nomination for Ohio’s 9th Congressional District. Majewski will face incumbent U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D), first elected in 1982, in the general election on Nov. 8.

WASHINGTON — The hold that former President Donald Trump has over the GOP was put to the test Tuesday in the first of a series of weekly primaries in Ohio and Indiana, with results that showed he is still very much a kingmaker, and a potential liability.

Trump-backed author and venture capitalist J.D. Vance won the crowded Ohio Senate primary and will face Rep. Tim Ryan.

Tuesday's top race is in Ohio, where voters are set to pick nominees for an open U.S. Senate seat. Redistricting has also affected some of the state's closely watched House races.

Races will test the strength of endorsements by Trump and Bernie Sanders, and measure how enthusiastic voters are about the midterms.
