German prosecutors say they will examine objects that were found in a search in Portugal last week for clues regarding the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, but can’t yet say whether they are linked to the British girl who went missing in 2007

German police have confirmed today that a number of items were recovered during the search but they can not confirm if they are connected to the four-year-old's disappearance.

A remote reservoir in Portugal was cordoned off last week as the searches took place.
