For the Sky — a team who, if the season ended today, would just narrowly make the playoffs — a trade should, at the very least, be a consideration.

“Every person wants to play in their hometown, whether it’s playing there for college, whatever it is.” said Loyd, who played high school ball at Niles West. “There’s always a different feel. . . . At the same time, I’ve only known the Seattle Storm my whole [WNBA career].’’

“To play in this game, to play with the greats, to be a championship organization, we’re going to have to keep improving,” Wade said.
