The Environment Agency has said there could be flooding in 360 areas of England and temporary barriers have been put up in high-risk areas.

Over 100 people had to be rescued from flooding in Derbyshire on Friday and flood waters are still expected to rise in some parts of the county.

The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency warned the River Don could breach its banks on Saturday.

First Minister Humza Yousaf said: ‘It is clear we have not seen the last of this storm.’

A council official has said flooding and rescues are taking place across Angus in east Scotland.

Storm Babet has caused havoc across the UK, with strong winds and rough seas along the east coast, record breaking rainfall and river levels in Scotland, overtopped flood defences, closed roads and railways and sadly at least two deaths. The impacts are not over as further rain is expected.

Several sections of major Scottish roads are closed due to flooding.
