Cryptocurrency prices are down as they have 'largely dovetailed with major equity markets,' an analyst says.

Bitcoin and Ethereum were little changed over 24 hours leading up to Thursday night as the global cryptocurrency market cap rose 1.05% to $2 trillion.

The two largest digital coins, Bitcoin and Ethereum, traded lower Thursday night as the global cryptocurrency market dropped 2.5% to $2.1 trillion. 

Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin traded flat on Wednesday evening as the global cryptocurrency market cap fell 0.5% to $2.15 trillion.

Bitcoin and Ethereum traded firmly in the green on Monday evening as the global cryptocurrency market cap increased 1.2% to $2.1 trillion at press time.

Stocks end lower Wednesday, giving back some gains, while oil prices rise.
