WASHINGTON — Democrats are unfazed, even giddy about a possible 2024 rematch between President Joe Biden and Donald Trump. But the prospect of facing upstart Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis is prompting whispers of angst within Democratic circles.

ATLANTA — National Democrats voted Saturday to overhaul the presidential primary process and put Georgia near the start of the schedule. But the party’s plan to elevate Georgia won’t mean anything without support from state Republicans so far unwilling to endorse the change.

Nevada and New Hampshire would go next under the new schedule.

DETROIT — After months of debate, the Democratic National Committee voted Saturday to place Michigan among the earliest states to cast votes for the 2024 presidential primary election ― a change intended to ensure a more diverse slate of voters is deciding the party's nominee.
