MIAMI — More than 100 Haitians landed Tuesday in a gated community in Key Largo, the latest boatload of refugees from the Caribbean to hit Florida’s shores.

At least 500 migrants have arrived to Florida Keys due to soaring inflation, food shortages and economic turmoil in Cuba and other parts of the Caribbean over the last several days

The U.S. National Park Service estimated that some 300 migrants arrived in the Dry Tortugas National Park over the past couple days. The park is about 100 miles north of Havana, the Cuban capital.
