July is off to a record hot start worldwide, data shows.

Those living in London can expect temperatures up to 27C, with it rising to around 23C in Cardiff and 21C in Glasgow. Elsewhere the mercury could climb to 30C this weekend

Tuesday’s global high of 62.9 degrees Fahrenheit was nearly 1.8 degrees higher than the 1979-2000 average, climate forecasters say. Wednesday may be hotter.
