Zara shoppers were in hysterics after spotting an unusual photo of the brand's orange knit dress.
The retailer is an exceptionally popular high street store, especially in Liverpool where its city centre shop will often see queues to get in so long, they stretch around buildings. Zara maintains a dedicated following of fashion fans, eager to get their hands on its newest stock arrivals.
Parody Instagram account Awkward Zara has grown an army of fans thanks to its comedic posts which mock some of the brand's more unusual outfits, as well as some of its quirkier campaign and website photos. The account already has 66.4K followers.

Any true Zara fan is more than familiar with the brand's distinctive aesthetic, with models regularly posing on its website at unusual angles - a type of modelling that's more common in magazine editorials. Some products are often photographed posed on inanimate objects like teddy bears, food and more.
Though this adds to Zara's iconic style, it can make it tricky for shoppers to figure out how some items should be worn - with @awkwardzara utilising its social media presence to highlight the funny side. The hilarious account recently shared a photo taken from Zara's website of its Knit Dress with Open Back.
The dress costs £45.99 and comes in a vibrant orange colour, with long sleeves and a round neckline in a midi length. The back of the dress is open with criss-cross straps adding detail. In the website photos, the model is posing with a classical sculpture of a woman.
@awkwardzara shared a photo of the statue on Instagram and jokingly asked: "have we reached… peak Zara?" Amused followers and Zara fans alike took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the image.
Steph quipped: "So exclusive we won’t even show it!" in reference to the dress not being featured in the particular image @awkwardzara shared. Marlene said: "Looks like an open front to me .... what are they thinking?????"
Zikki simply commented: "WTAF". Kat said: "wow".
Matthew said: "is the model/statue even wearing it? talk about minimal". Rachel said: "thing is this is a great photo. I’d have this on my walls the question remains though… where is the dress". Hannah added: "how ridiculous".
Other shoppers simply posted crying laughing emojis while some tagged their friends to direct them to the post. You can find your nearest Zara store here.
