
You might assume that Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston spends hours in the gym, but despite her love of vigorous workouts, her routine is surprisingly manageable.
Her personal trainer Dani Coleman told me that Aniston prefers to workout for just 45 minutes, usually three or four times a week, depending on her schedule.
"Jen is very much like, '45 minutes—let’s hit it' and she’ll make me start my watch and off we go," says Coleman, head trainer at Pvolve, where Aniston is ambassador.
"You don’t need to be working out seven days a week to achieve her kind of fitness and overall health," she adds.
Coleman keeps things interesting for the The Morning Show star by blending cardio, strength and mobility work. And with Aniston’s playful personality, sessions are never dull.
"There’s nothing I can throw at Jen that she wouldn’t be down for. We’re at that level of trust where she always keeps me laughing and we just have a really good time," she says.
The importance of rest
But Aniston’s fitness isn’t just about consistency—sleep and nutrition are equally important.
"Physical activity is so important, but obviously coming up very, very close second is sleep and your nutrition," says Coleman.
"Sometimes I prioritize sleep over anything else because if you're not sleeping and you're doing all the physical work, then you're actually not going to hit the gains that you want."
