Construction remains halted at a site which will provide hundreds of new homes on the edge of Maghull after planners ordered work to temporarily cease.
Persimmon Homes is behind the Summerhill Park development, which lies off Poverty Lane near the M58. Diggers arrived on site earlier this year, but work has temporarily stopped.
The ECHO understands Persimmon failed to supply the necessary details of the proposed construction route to Sefton Council.

Although no injunction has been issued by the authority, it has requested that work is temporarily halted while the developer updates the plans. The additional information will require the approval of Sefton Council before construction can restart.
A spokesman for Persimmon Homes said: "Work on a flood relief channel, which will form part of a new public park, has been progressing on site over recent weeks. Discussions with Sefton Borough Council have also been progressing well regarding discharge of final planning conditions and so we expect main construction works to recommence on site shortly.
"In order to avoid construction traffic through the immediate surrounding area, a one way system has been agreed with the highways authority. All delivery drivers and contractors have specific instructions with enforcement procedures in place to direct traffic accordingly."
Once complete, Summerhill Park will provide more than 400 dwellings, 150 of which have been taken on by a local housing association. Persimmon completed the acquisition of the site in April 2022.
Summerhill forms part of a wider new community to the east of Maghull, which also includes Persimmon's Poppy Fields scheme, Eastbrook Village, which is led by Countryside Properties, and a new service station.
