Woman turns up to McDonald's drive-thru on a HORSE leaving customers baffled

A woman delighted fast-food diners after she went through a McDonald's drive-thru on her HORSE.

The incredible scenes were captured on camera at one of the chain's restaurants.

Normally, drivers in cars and other vehicles queue up in lanes for their staple Big Macs and fries.

But bizarre snaps of the incident unfolding reveal the woman wasn't going to be put off from her coffee because she was on her horse, reports the Mirror.

The photographs were captured at a Maccies in Elstree, Hertfordshire.

When she got to the window, the woman dismounted and told the employee what she wanted.

Her horse was then seen hilariously poking its snout into the hatch - probably enjoying the aroma.

The woman, who hasn't been identified. was then seen walking on with a coffee in one hand as she chatted away on her mobile phone in the other.

It is unclear whether she ordered any food for herself - or her trusty steed.

Incredibly, it is not the first time McDonald's customers have seen someone ordering from a McDonalds drive-thru on horseback.

Dad-of-three Simon White shared amusing pictures of a visitor and her four-legged friend after he spotted them on a trip to his local McDonald's in Caerphilly, Wales, last Thursday.

The photos of that incident show an unidentified lady in a mustard-coloured puffer jacket and riding boots on the back of the white horse after waiting in the queue behind motor vehicles.

The equine waited patiently as they moved forward, and the woman was later seen paying for her food on horseback

They then rode out of the car park after she received her food.

Simon, a vehicle parts constructor, said: "I was on my way home from collecting my little one from school when we stopped by for something to eat.

"We were sitting there waiting for our food when she came round the corner.

"I couldn't believe it - the horse was very well-behaved though and she got served no problem, before riding off.

He added that 'a few of the kids' sitting inside the McDonald's came out to take pictures and cheer, adding: "My son loved it. It really made his day - he was laughing so much.

"I thought it was really funny as well - it's something you just can't imagine seeing unless you live in the Welsh valleys."

Simon also shared that he passed the same woman on the road later on - and saw her eating a burger.

It is legal to ride a horse in the UK on all types of roads except motorways, although private premises such as McDonald's have the right to refuse service to people on horseback.

In 2018, a McDonald's in Malvern Shopping Park told 48-year-old Louise Carter that her Big Mac order would not be taken when she entered the drive-thru - because she was not in a motor vehicle.
