A woman shouted "f***ing p*** take" as she was jailed over an arson attack at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.
Liverpool Crown Court heard yesterday afternoon, Monday, that Natasha Tisdall was previously handed a 15-month imprisonment suspended for two years in November last year after pleading guilty to arson. This came after an incident shortly after 6.30am on Sunday, May 29 2022, in which the 35-year-old lit a fire at the doors to the Mount Pleasant site's eastern entrance.
One staff member described having arrived at work "to find police and fire everywhere and the cathedral filled with a vile smell of burning". Three fire engines attended to tackle the blaze, remaining on the scene for around five hours.

But Suzanne Payne, prosecuting, described how Tisdall had breached the order after being made homeless - which meant she was not able to reside at the address or any alternative accommodation, as she was required to do by the court order. She had previously been living with her mother-in-law, but they had a "falling out and she was asked to leave".
Kate Morley, defending, told the court that her client was in an "unusual situation". The defendant had spent five months in custody awaiting her original sentence and has been held in prison since her latest arrest on January 13 this year.
Tisdall, of no fixed address, admitted breaching a suspended sentence order. Appearing via video link to HMP Styal, she was jailed for 14 months.
Sentencing, Judge Anil Murray said: "You breached the order within days of receiving that sentence. This order just is not workable any more."
Tisdall was heard to say "f***ing p*** take" as she left the video link booth after being sentenced. She will serve up to half of this term before being released on licence.
