When you hear the toaster pop first thing in the morning, there is a very small window of time to get your butter spread perfectly without ruining your slices.
Warm bread and room temperature butter are both crucial to ensure that it melts into a tasty breakfast. But when you order a fried brekky in a café or a restaurant, sometimes both items can come out cold.
If you've ever been faced with the difficult task of spreading solid butter across tepid toast, one woman has shared her rather unique method that will likely turn heads, reports The Express.
Sharing the tip on an Instagram reel, user @the_yukistar posted a clip of a woman piercing a pack of butter with a fork. She then holds the foil above her bread before squeezing the butter through the holes, making the butter easier to spread.
The tip has faced both praise and criticism from online viewers and some were quick to point out the difficulties associated with the unusual method. One person highlighted: "Great idea, although I find they’re normally colder and harder than a glacier."
A second wrote: "That would be great but most hotels and restaurants give you the butter so cold that I doubt you'd be able to do this. Love to try it though."
"But it wastes a lot of what's inside," commented another. "No. Can't let butter waste." Another asked: "Who has that much butter?"
However, some users seemed keen to try the innovative approach. As one person wrote: "I’ll be trying this. So many negative comments about a butter hack. If you don’t like it, don’t try it!"
