Woman's fry-up with odd ingredient labelled 'criminal offence' by brutal foodies

A woman's fry-up attempt has been slammed by foodies online, with some saying the plate is a "criminal offence".

Jessica O shared a picture of the classic dish to the Rate My Plate Twitter page, and users who commented didn't hold back.

Rate my Plate is a community were people upload pictures of their weirdest and most wonderful dishes to be judged by fellow foodies, but the latest creation to be mocked was Jessica's.

On each plate were three sausages, three hash browns, two eggs, beans, two questionable slabs of meat - which one user said it "Looks like gammon more than bacon" - as well as peas.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter users were quick to respond to the odd addition to the traditional dish.

Since being posted, the picture has received 1,700 likes and 2,500 comments from disapproving foodies.

One person asked: "British people eat peas for breakfast?" and another replied: "No we f***ing don't, that plate is a criminal offence."

Another added: "PEAS on a fry up? Na and that's not even proper bacon. I'd pass."

A third also said: "No peas in an English Breakfast. Proper bacon too not that processed muck on there. Mushrooms, tomatoes and optional black pudding are missing. Hash browns are ok but they are not part of it either - an American invention."

And: "Peas on a fry up? Off to the tower of London with her now" said a fourth.

But one person thought the beans touching the eggs was the worst part of the meal.
