Four people have been rushed to hospital and two rescued after a blaze at a shop on a major north London road on Friday afternoon.
Around 60 firefighters and eight fire engines were called to the fire at a shop which has flats above on Willesden High Road shortly after 1pm.
Firefighters rescued two people from the roof of the building, where part of the ground and first floors are alight, using a ladder.
Four others fled the blaze before firefighters arrived and were taken to hospital by paramedics.
LFB Station Commander Chucks Abili said: "Crews are making steady progress and gaining access to the voids to extinguish the fire.
"Some smoke is still being produced, so we advise local residents to keep their windows and doors closed.
"Willesden High Road is closed between Bertie Road and Hawthorn Road and we'd encourage people to avoid the area this afternoon, particularly as rush hour approaches."
The Brigade said it took the first of eight calls to the fire at 1.08pm, and mobilised crews from West Hampstead, Park Royal, North Kensington, Kentish Town and Wembley fire stations to the scene.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
