It’s Sunday night. There’s usually one NFL game that’s played at night and usually airs on NBC for Sunday Night Football, right?

Not in Week 16. The New England Patriots and Denver Broncos are playing their Sunday night game on Christmas Eve on the NFL Network. Why is that?

There’s a simple explanation! NBC’s streaming service Peacock carried the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Chargers game on Saturday with their usual crew, so the NFL Network is taking on this game instead.

There you have it! Enjoy the Sunday night football game on Christmas Eve that isn’t Sunday Night Football for this week.
