One of the most exciting parts of Hogwarts Legacy is the ability to capture fantastic beasts and keep them in your vivarium in the Room of Requirement. There are 12 different beasts to collect and they each give different materials you can use to upgrade your gear, making them a very useful resource. You can also breed them and sell them to earn some fast cash.
You will need to catch a Diricawl on one of your beast-related missions, which is a type of magical bird. It’s not so difficult to catch one, but it can be quite tricky to find. Here’s the best location to find Diricawl in Hogwarts Legacy.
Hogwarts Legacy: Where to find Diricrawls
Diricawls can be found in four locations in Hogwarts Legacy:
- Hogwarts Valley
- Poidsear Coast
- Marunweem Lake
- Clagmar Coast
The issue when you search these locations is that their dens are more hidden than those of other fantastic beasts. Beast dens are highlighted on the map with a round icon with a paw symbol inside. You will know which den it is by hovering over it and checking the name in the bottom left-hand corner.
You can find one just south of Lower Hogsfield, amongst some ruins that you find on top of the cliff. If you have the broom, this is the easiest location to get to. In order to catch one you will need to cast Arresto Momentum to slow down the Diricawls. This will slow them down enough so you can grab one with your Nabsack.
