When and what time will Storm Eunice hit on Friday?

Storm Eunice will be the second major weather event to batter the UK this week, following Storm Dudley.

On Wednesday, Storm Dudley caused power cuts and disruption to train and road travel, with gusts of up to 80mph.

Now Storm Eunice is set to top that, with strong winds in excess of 95mph on Friday (18 February).

It might also bring up to 20cm of snow over high ground, with up to 5cm possible in some lower areas.

The Met Office has issued yellow and amber weather warnings, as well as the most severe, red 'danger to life' caution.

The weather service has also warned against people taking ' storm selfies ' which could put their lives in danger.

This week, coastal towns have seen choppy waters and huge waves as Storm Dudley lashed the country.

What time will Storm Eunice hit?

Most weather warnings come into effect on Friday morning (18 February), lasting until the evening.

Here are the timings, from most to least severe:

The red weather warning is in place from 7am to 12 noon tomorrow, affecting areas of south west England and south Wales.

An amber wind warning covering most of England and all of Wales in force from 5am until 9pm tomorrow, including Greater Manchester.

Meanwhile a yellow for wind 7am until 6pm for north England, parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Another yellow weather warning - this time for snow - is in place from 3am until 6pm for most of Scotland, parts of north west England and all of Northern Ireland.
