A luxury holiday resort in West Wales has confirmed a second phase £14m expansion that will see a further 30 lodges built.
Following the success of its sold out first phase owners of the Dylan Coastal Resort in Laugharne, Luxury Lodges, said its second phase will take the number of lodges to 103. The new lodges are being offered for purchase, with the investment option to sublet. The expansion will create a further 15 jobs - taking employment at the 100-acre resort to more than 100.
The 19 holiday homes initially launched in phase one, which was completed last autumn, were sold to investors and sports stars. Lodges in the latest phase to buy will range from £350,000 to £650,000. If any aren’t sold they will be rented out by Luxury Lodges.
Dylan Coastal Resort has been transformed over the past three years under the ownership of Luxury Lodges with investment of more than £20m creating high specification holiday homes, alongside Milk Wood House a spa, bar and restaurant, with panoramic coastal views. When Luxury Lodges acquired the holiday venue there were 30 lodges.
Luxury Lodges owns three other resorts in Cornwall and the Lake District.
Sharon Hurley, founder of Luxury Lodges, said: “This is a very exciting time for Dylan Coastal Resort, and completing and selling out phase one is a real milestone for us. By creating a further 30 hotel-quality holiday homes as part of phase two, we are paving the way for more people to visit and stay in this unique location in West Wales.
“We are proud to be employing local people and sourcing local materials where possible and are in constant communication with the community to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum while we complete the expansion.”
