A West Lothian driver was hit with a roadside fine last week after police were quick to pull them over.
Issuing a warning on social media, road officers in the area explained they had been out on patrol on Sunday (August 28) when they noticed the vehicle.
Driving through Armadale, police had pulled the blue Volkswagen into the side of a residential area where they carried out a full inspection.

Following the checks, officers discovered there was no insurance for the vehicle or driver, which saw them have their car seized there and then. In addition, the individual was also given a roadside fine of £300 by police, as well as six penalty points on their license.

Urging other drivers to ensure they are fully insured and taxed, road police said: "Earlier today Livingston Road Police stopped this Volkswagen in Armadale. Roadside checks revealed that there was no insurance for the vehicle/driver and it was subsequently seized.
"The driver now faces six penalty points and a £300 fine. #DontPayWe 'llTakeItAway."
