We tried TGI Fridays' mocktails to see if they're a good dry January option

It's January which often means two things, either lots of people are trying to go vegan, or attempting 'Dry January'.

Giving up booze for a month is usually as part of a New Year's resolution, but leaving out alcohol shouldn't mean you miss out on interesting drinks.

And TGI Friday's has understood the assignment.

Which is why it has released a menu of mocktails in collaboration with Clean Co and here at The Reviews Club, we rushed out to try them.

Jada Jones and Emily Sleight headed out to their local restaurant to see if the alcohol-free options were as nice as some classics.

Clean Margarita

I thought this one was quite nice, the half salted rim was a nice touch as it turns out I'm definitely not a fan of salt on my drinks.

It tasted quite similar to the real thing, so if you're a fan of these and choosing not to drink then it's definitely a good option.

I will say that the glasses come extremely full which can lead to a spill so don't wear white!

Clean Paloma

This one was my favourite, it's slightly bitter as a result of the grapefruit but that's what you expect with a Paloma.

It looks beautiful in a glass and has all of the appeal of a cocktail without any risk of a hangover.

If you drink alcohol, please do so responsibly, but Fridays have you covered if you don't!

I really enjoyed this one.

Clean Gin & Tonic

Rating: 5/5

Everybody loves a Gin & Tonic, but sometimes the hangover just isn't worth it, which is why I'm choosing this 'Clean Gin & Tonic' as one of my favourite mocktails!

Granted, it didn't have the same 'kick' as your usual G&T, but it was still unbelievably refreshing, and looked great too.

The fizz of the London Essence original tonic is what really gave this drink the classic gin taste, minus the headache.

Clean Mojito

Mojito is a classic cocktail, which is why I knew the 'Clean Mojito' would be a difficult one to pull off.

Although the Mojito was refreshing in a sense, for me it had too much of a fake minty taste, almost resembling cough medicine.

The alcoholic Mojito isn't for everyone with its very strong and pungent taste, which is probably why I didn't find this drink as pleasant as the others.

Clean P iña Coladas

If you like Piña Coladas, and gettin' caught in the rain, you're going to absolutely love the TGI Friday's clean Piña Colada - I know I did.

This one was by far my favourite, and although it looked a bit messy, it tasted absolutely delicious.

The taste was really refreshing with just the right amount of coconut and pineapple, without being too sickly.

Once the cocktail began to melt, it was really easy to drink and very moreish!
