We put Huda Beauty and Superdrug face mists to the test

A face mist is an absolute essential in this glorious UK heatwave- but we have a couple of do's and don'ts.

Some brands which over the years we have tried tend to smudge our make up, and that's a big no no! A face mist should be hydrating, but not make us look like we've just been in a water fight with the kids- so here we thought let's take a look at some of the biggest brand names and make sure we are not only buying the best, but using them correctly.

The biggest question on all our minds is always- is it worth spending a little more for a better product? Here we test two very differently priced products.

Stacey, our Reviews Editor swears by this hydrating mist (so much so it's nearly all gone!)

Huda Beauty is a new make up/skincare range for me in the last 12 months- and I'm enjoying their products so far. Of all the products I have used including eye shadow palettes, their Lip Glass range AND their mascara- this one for me is top tier! SO with any hydrating mist I always make sure I can wear a little make up with it and it won't budge.

The beauty of the Glow Coco Hydrating Mist is that it smells beautiful AND it doesn't feel heavy on top of OR underneath your everyday make up. I have some days where I will use the spray even just in passing on a hot day, I'll walk through my room and give my face a quick spritz.

Rebecca Astill, Reviews Writer at Birmingham Live, has given the Superdrug Mist a whirl- and there is so much to decipher between the two products.

Like everyone else in the UK, I have been struggling with hayfever more than ever this year leaving my face constantly dry and itchy. I have been searching high and low to find something to soothe that irritation, while also catering for my sensitive skin.

Enter: Superdrug Vitamin E Hydrating Mist. The hydrating mist is a complete budget option, costing just £3.99, and is part of Superdrug's new Vitamin E line.

I have been absolutely loving it since buying it, it cools and soothes my face as well as giving it a glowy look, like I have just slathered it in Charlotte Tilbury's Flawless Filter. My skin feels much more generally hydrated and healthier since using it.

I always look for products with vitamin e because of its hydration properties, it traps water into the skin which is great when it is hot and sweaty, and the salt from the sweat is drawing water out. This is a new staple in my bag.

It is currently sold out online but you can shop the rest of the Vitamin E range here.
