The Raiders defense wasn’t stopping much most of the days against the Texans. Then come the fourth quarter, they forced their first punt. Then came a drive for a fourth straight touchdown by the Raiders offense.
That touchdown drive put the Raiders up 31-20 and in desperation mode. Davis Mills threw one up for grabs. Duron Harmon grabbed it and was off to the races, going 73 yards for the score.
The defensive score put the Raiders up 38-20 over the Texans, and slamming the door on any hopes they may have had of coming back in the game.
It was the second defensive touchdown for the Raiders in their last three games. The previous one came courtesy of Amik Robertson returning a fumble recover in the win over the Broncos. That defensive score was the first for the Raiders in three years. Now they’ve had two in three games.
Both defensive scores will help them with their only two wins thus far this season. They’re kind of a big deal. Then again, so is your running back setting new career highs every week and then running for three scores in one game.
