Shoppers have been warned about food alerts from some of the countries biggest supermarkets from the Food Standards Agency (FSA.)
The regulator has issued a series of warnings for certain food items purchased from Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Lidl and Iceland.
The warnings include a range of health and safety concerns that have left the products unsafe to eat, reports Kent Live.
Product recalls are issued when there may be a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold. Sometimes goods have to be withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to consumers because the allergy labelling is missing or incorrect or if there is any other food allergy risk. When there is a food allergy risk, the FSA will issue an Allergy Alert.
We have listed below the full range of products that have recently been recalled by the FSA for health and safety reasons, which have ranged from Salmonella to containing pieces of metal.
Shoppers are being urged to check if they have any of the below items. If so, shoppers are being urged not to consume them and to return them to store immediately for a full refund.
Tesco soup
Tesco is recalling Tesco Chicken and Vegetable cup soup with croutons because it may contain small pieces of metal. The possible presence of small pieces of metal makes this product unsafe to eat.

A spokesperson said: "Tesco is recalling the above product and has issued a recall notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product."
Tesco digestive biscuits
Tesco is recalling Tesco Free From Digestive Biscuits because they may contain small pieces of metal which makes it unsafe to eat.

A spokesperson said: "Tesco is recalling the above product. Point of Sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling the product. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product."
Lidl lager
Lidl GB is recalling Starovice Czech Lager 5.0% because it contains sulphur dioxide which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product."
Kinder products
Ferrero is extending its precautionary recall of a selection of European labelled Kinder products manufactured at the Arlon factory in Belgium, which might be contaminated with Salmonella. Investigations have found that some products, intended for the European market only and which have already been recalled by Ferrero in Europe, have been imported into the UK by UK importers not linked to Ferrero.

Lidl Pistachios
Lidl GB is recalling Alesto Californian Pistachios Roasted & Salted because salmonella has been found in the product.

A spokesperson said: "Lidl GB is recalling the above products. Point of sale notices will be displayed in retail stores that are selling this product. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund. If you require further information, please contact Lidl GB Customer Services on 0370 444 1234."
Iceland Takeaway Chicken Bhuna
Iceland is recalling Iceland Takeaway Chicken Bhuna (Frozen) because it contains milk which is not declared on the label. As a result of a packaging error, some packs may contain Iceland Takeaway Creamy Butter Chicken. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
