Householders have been urged to check their fridges and cupboards as the FSAI has issued a number of food alerts.
Food safety bosses have warned against consuming several products due to safety and allergen fears. The implicated products include items sold in popular supermarkets like Tesco, Lidl, Dunnes, and more.
People have been advised to avoid consuming the affected products and bin them. Here is a full list of all the food recalls and allergen alerts issued over the recent weeks:

Food recall alerts
Tesco Southern Fried Chicken Goujons
Batches of Tesco Southern Fried Chicken Goujons have been recalled due to the possible presence of salmonella. The implicated products have a pack size of 360g and batch codes 23122 and 23123 with the best-before date of 31/05/2024.
The most common symptom of salmonella is diarrhoea, which can sometimes be bloody. Other symptoms may include fever, headache, and abdominal cramps.
The illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days. Diarrhoea can occasionally be severe enough to require hospital admission. The elderly, infants, and those with impaired immune systems are more likely to have a severe illness.
Wrights of Howth Smoked Salmon
Wrights of Howth is recalling a batch of Oak Smoked Farmed Irish Organic Salmon due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The implicated products have pack sizes of 120g, 140g, 250g, and 350g with the batch code 21P and the best-before date of 19/05/2023.
A notice on the FSAI website reads: "Symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes infection can include mild flu-like symptoms, or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. In rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications. Some people are more vulnerable to Listeria monocytogenes infections, including pregnant women, babies and people with weakened immune systems, including the elderly.
"The incubation period (time between initial infection and first symptoms appearing) is on average 3 weeks but can range between 3 and 70 days."
Full Moon Frozen Shrimp
A batch of 2kg Full Moon Frozen Shrimp is recalled due to the presence of Vibrio cholera and Vibrio parahaemolyticus. The batch code for the implicated products is 29936030 with the best-before date of 01/03/2025.
Symptoms of the infection include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, fever, headache, and watery diarrhoea (which may be bloody or contain flecks of mucus). Symptoms generally start within 6 to 48 hours and usually last between three to five days.
However, symptoms may persist for up to 3 weeks depending on the species of Vibrio. In some people, particularly children under 5 years of age, the elderly, or those with underlying health conditions, the infection can lead to severe dehydration, which may be fatal if not treated promptly.
Cadbury Chocolate Desserts
Several batches of Cadbury chocolate desserts are being recalled due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The implicated batches were sold in some Lidl stores. The following products have been affected by the recall:
