UK's cheapest supermarket named for the third month in a row and it's between Aldi, Lidl and ASDA

Consumer experts Which? have named the UK's cheapest supermarket for the third month in a row - and it may surprise some people. Aldi has been beaten to the top spot as the cheapest supermarket in the UK by Lidl for the third month in a row.

Lidl has been crowned the cheapest supermarket in the UK for March, with a basket of just £26.83.

According to the latest monthly analysis from Which?, Lidl has beaten the big four supermarkets, as well as Aldi who took second place with a basket costing 31p more. Which? compared prices for a trolley of 21 grocery items from throughout March, including both own-brand and branded goods, revealing that, on average, shoppers would have paid £26.83 at Lidl. Products analysed included fresh produce such as apples and eggs, and household names such as Hovis wholemeal bread, to give a comprehensive review of the UK’s cheapest supermarket in March.

The news reflects Lidl’s continued commitment to offering customers top quality products at great value prices.
