Two people were rushed to hospital after a car flipped over onto its roof on a quiet road in Longsight on Sunday evening (July 10). Police were called to the scene of the crash, which happened on Northmoor Road, near Belgate Close, at around 6.30pm.
Pictures from the scene show a blue car on its roof, with visibly smashed windows a crushed roof. Onlookers stood by the side of the road as a recovery van then turned the car back around before towing it away.
The fire service as well as paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service were also called to the scene of the crash, which involved two vehicles. The road was closed off for a short while before reopening at around 8pm.

Two people were then taken to hospital by paramedics as police remained at the scene. Further details about the incident and the nature of injuries are not yet known, but Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for more information.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At 6.30pm this evening (10 July) firefighters were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars on Belgate Close, Manchester.
“Fire crews from Gorton fire station arrived quickly at the scene and helped to extricate two casualties before conveying them to the care of our colleagues at North West Ambulance Service. GMFRS were at the scene for just over 15 minutes.”
