Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs
8.30pm, ITV1
This is the last series that O’Grady filmed at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home – and it’s a perfect ta-ra to one of British telly’s favourites. Watching him struggle to resist adopting and taking home yet another dog (a newfoundland called Peggy) then help to soothe Katie, a terrified bichon frise who flinches at any slight movement, are reminders of his heartwarming and hilarious legacy. The Dog Academy
8pm, Channel 4
The owners of three jack russells and a Shih Tzu need help this week, as their pack of maddeningly yappy, incontinent pooches are labelled “feral dogs”. They’re joined by 18-month-old cockapoo Freddie, who is terrified of other canines – as is his owner. How might he have ended up this way? Alexi Duggins
Long Lost Family: What Happened Next
9pm, ITV1
These catch-ups are less predictable and thus more interesting than the family reunion series itself. This week, Roy celebrates his 89th birthday in New York with his daughter, while Maria’s hunt for information about her Italian family takes a turn thanks to a viewer of the original programme. Jack Seale
Taskmaster
9pm, Channel 4
Gluttons for punishment, this week our five comedians return to face the wrath of Taskmaster Greg Davies. While Jenny Eclair channels her inner Peter Andre beneath a waterfall of new potatoes, Little Alex Horne masterminds a straight-faced sausage quiz that proves a mightily meaty affair. Danielle De Wolfe
Dreamland
9pm, Sky Atlantic
The series based on a Sharon Horgan comedy short, and starring Lily Allen in her TV acting debut, continues. Trish, Spence, Leila and Cheryl visit a rundown house that’s up for auction with the hopes of transforming it. They also take a trip with the kids to the titular Margate amusement park, where family dynamics intensify. Micha Frazer-Carroll
Naked, Alone and Racing to Get Home
9pm, E4
The new reality series in which two pairs of completely starkers contestants race across the countryside in search of a cash prize continues. “Oh, he’s definitely bigger than me,” Michael says of his opponent Luke in the most awkward meeting of people ever televised. Ahead of them: a curious group of cyclists. HR
