Thousands of commuters were hit by ticketing chaos after the Trainline app crashed during rush hour on Tuesday.
There were over 800 reports that the app was down, according to DownDetector, leaving users frustrated as they tried to get to work on Tuesday.
The problems, which hit passengers across Britain, started at around 8am and were resolved by around 9am.
Trainline has confirmed the app is back online, and apologised for the outage.
More than 1,314 issues were logged on Down Detector, with 92 per cent of users saying they were struggling with the app, while five per cent were having issues with ticketing.
The remaining three per cent said the problem was with Trainline's website.
DownDetector gets network status updates from various sources including social media and reports submitted to its website.
Taking to social media commuters criticised Trainline as one sarcastically said: "Trainline outage this morning proving the plans to close ticket offices were always sound and well thought through."
Meanhwhile responding to complaints, Trainline's X account posted: "We’re experiencing technical difficulties with our app and website which means some customers may be unable to search for or book rail and coach journeys.
"We’re very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause however please be assured we’re working hard to fix it."
Issues have now been resolved, a statement from the travel company confirmed.
On November 3, 2023, Trainline took to social media to advise customers of an earlier outage.
The post read: ''We're experiencing technical difficulties on our app and website which means some customers may be unable to search for or book rail and coach journeys.
''We're very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause however please be assured we're working hard to fix it.''
A similar situation occurred under a week later on 7 November.
