The next chapter of Tom Brady's life following his retirement from the NFL earlier this year is taking him to new places.
Wednesday wasn't the first time Tom Brady was interviewed by CNBC, but it was his first time on as Delta's new "long-term strategic adviser."

After explaining a little about his new role at the company, Brady was asked about the University of Colorado's Sept. 2 win over Texas Christian University.
"How to sustain success over a period of time is challenging. You have this big season opener that Colorado had, it's one particular game and it's great that you started that way, but in the end there's a long season ahead," Brady told CNBC Wednesday.
"You guys may have one great day, but do you have five great days?"
Brady had a much more succinct message for the team and quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Brady texted Sanders, son of Colorado coach and NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, when he texted the Colorado Junior after his team's historic win against TCU.
“[Tom Brady] texted me after the game, ‘don’t be satisfied.’”

Brady eventually brought the lesson back to the corporate world, and what he preaches to Delta as its new strategic adviser.
"The only way to do it (sustain success) is to be really consistent with the right processes to get you the opportunity to succeed, because competition is tough," he said.
Brady's new role with Delta is a partnership, according to CEO Ed Bastian because, not unlike the Colorado Buffaloes, "our team needs that continued inspiration. We're on the top but we want to keep climbing."
He wanted to make clear that this isn't just a sponsorship deal, though Brady will be acting as a spokesperson for the airline, but that Tom will be "talking to our people about greatness, about resilience, about excellence, about performance."
"That's why the Patriots were so successful. They did things the right way, consistently... We're still recovering from Covid, we all talk about the difficulty of the travel experience, and we need to continue to elevate the bar."
