Toilet incident delays Ryanair flight for hours

A Ryanair flight was delayed for hours after a passenger used a toilet when they weren't supposed to. It is understood a toilet was flushed and a problem with a cracked pipe was discovered.

The plane was due to fly from Dublin in Ireland to Amsterdam in the Netherlands last Friday and was scheduled to depart at 3.30pm. But the toilet incident caused a problem, Birmingham Live reports.

A tourist said: "There was a bit of a fight at the top of the plane, I think someone had gone in and flushed it when they really shouldn't have.

"One of the flight crew said there was a cracked pipe, which they had patched up but had broken again, and the captain pulled up after he had started moving."

Passengers were taken to a new plane after being informed the toilets didn't work onboard. The flight was scheduled to take off at after 6pm, but ran into another delay of an hour.

They were left confused and hysterical, passengers have said. They were finally on a flight at 8.35pm

A Ryanair spokesperson confirmed the flight was delayed due to "an issue with the aircraft lavatories". The low cost airline also apologised for any inconvenience.

Ryanair explained Air Traffic control added to the delays, and said the flight took off four hours and five minutes later than scheduled.
